Best regards from Richmond. The sixth week of the 2012 General Assembly is wrapping up. February 14th was “crossover” at the Capitol – the deadline where all legislative action must be completed by its house of origin. Over the next few weeks, the House will consider all the bills which have passed the Senate, while the Senate considers all House bills. Those bills which pass the House Floor will be sent next week to be heard by the Senate. Best regards from Richmond. The fourth week of the 2012 General Assembly is now wrapping up. To date, the House has passed 249 bills – many of which are Republican items that will generate jobs and improve the education system in the 87th District and the entire Commonwealth. As the first full week of session is now complete, we have started to make progress in tackling over 1,200 Bills and Resolutions that have been introduced so far in the House for this 60-days Session – approximately 3,000 are expected overall. This Tuesday I will be holding a live telephone town hall meeting from my office in Richmond to update you on issues and hear your opinions and suggestions.
